  Lone Star College System has received $500,000 from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board to help defer costs for students completing the Alternative Teacher Certification programs in math and science.

  Lone Star College System has reached another milestone with more than 62,000 students enrolling at its colleges for the spring semester, 25 percent more than last year.

   

• LSCS names Veterans Affairs director - January 22, 2010
  Lone Star College System announced that Jose A. "Tony" Castillo has been named the director of veteran's affairs and services for the system. Castillo will manage the new Veterans Affairs Center housed at LSC-University Park.

  Lone Star College System officials announced this week that LSC-Kingwood and LSC-Montgomery have both received funding through the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board Professional Nursing Shortage Reduction Program.
