Definitions for Veterans Benefits
- Montgomery GI Bill - Active Duty (MGIB-SR/Chapter 1607): Veterans who entered the military after July 1st, 1995 and contributed to the educational program.
- Montgomery GI Bill - Selected Reserve (MGIB-SR/Chapter 1606): Reservists who entered the Selected Reserve after July 1st, 1985.
- Chapter 32 VEAP - VEAP, known as the post-Vietnam era Veterans Educational Assistance Program, includes those who entered the military afterJanuary 1st, 1977 and contributed to the VEAP program.
- Chapter 31 - Veterans who have a service-connected disability that creates an employment problem.
- Chapter 35 - (Dependents) Spouses or children of deceased or service-connected disability veterans (100%)
- Hazlewood Exemptions: Veterans who entered the service from Texas, have exhausted veterans benefits, are not eligible for federal financial aid and wish to continue college work.
