General Education Mobile (GEM) at Lone Star College
Community College of the Air Force GEM
Lone Star College is honored to be one of a select few academic institutions invited to participate in the Community College of the Air Force's (CCAF) General Education Mobile (GEM) program.
Courses Approved for the USAF GEM Program
LSC offers a diverse selection of general education courses that are pre-approved by CCAF. We invite you to review your academic course options and contact us so that we may assist you in your academic journey.
Through LSC's participation in the CCAF GEM program, Air Force personnel can complete up to 15 semester hours of general education requirements that may be applied directly to a student’s Associate in Applied Science degree at the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) and/or Lone Star College.
Typically, the final 15 semester hours most CCAF students need to complete in order to earn their AAS degree are the five general education courses that include: Writing Skills, Oral Communication, Mathematics, Social Sciences, and Humanities.
