2026 Lone Star College System Alumni Awards
The Inaugural Lone Star College System Alumni Awards recognizes graduates from either a degree or certificate program, who have achieved distinctive and notable accomplishments within their chosen profession, while positively impacting their communities.
Nominees are accepted in two categories: Distinguished Alumni Award
and Alumni On the Rise.

To be eligible for consideration, award nominations must be received in the Lone Star College System Alumni Relations & Engagement Office by 6:00 pm on Friday, February 6, 2026.

Distinguished Alumni Award

Recognizes an individual for significant contributions to their field or community, demonstrating leadership and excellence, and inspiring others through their accomplishments. Other criteria should include:
- Professional achievement within their chosen field, realizing consistent growth, demonstrating responsibility and leadership in their career.
- Dedication to improving the lives of others through their work or volunteerism.
- Embodies one or more of Lone Star College System's core values by being student focused, choosing learning, cultivating community, fostering belonging, and owning their decisions.
- Nominee must have obtained a degree or successfully completed a certificate program prior to May 31, 2015.
Alumni On the Rise
Recognizes an individual who demonstrates significant potential for future leadership, while making early-career contributions within a specific profession, organization, or community. Other criteria should include:
- Possess a clear record of professional growth and achievements.
- Dedicated involvement with community service initiatives.
- Embodies one or more of Lone Star College System's core values by being student focused, choosing learning, cultivating community, fostering belonging, and owning their decisions.
- Nominee must have obtained a degree or successfully completed a certificate program between May 1, 2020 and May 31, 2025.
* Nominees may not be a current LSCS Trustee, Board Member, Faculty or Staff member. Posthumous nominations will not be considered for an Alumni Award, but will be eligible for an LSCS Alumni Legacy Tribute.
