Complete New Student Orientation Virtually or Online
Currently, all First Time in College students have the option to complete their required New Student Orientation either virtually (NSO Live) or online (NSO On Demand). To get the best New Student Orientation experience we encourage you to register for an NSO Live orientation offered through the campus you plan to attend. During the NSO Live session you will have the opportunity to speak with campus staff and get your questions answered so that you are ready for the upcoming semester. If you are unable to attend a Live session, NSO On Demand is always available. You can access the Live and On Demand New Student Orientations from your applicant homepage in the my.LoneStar.edu student portal. Once you successfully complete New Student Orientation, the orientation requirement will be checked off your New Student Checklist in my.LoneStar.edu, and you will be ready to complete final steps and be ready to register for classes. First time in college students will need to complete the online orientation to be eligible to register. Academic Advisors are available to assist you with selecting classes that fit your Academic Pathway.
Spring 2021 registration begins on November 11, 2020. To view suggested classes for your major and register, sign into my.LoneStar.edu, click on the “Student” tile, the “Manage Classes” tile, and click the “Plan and Register for Classes” button.
