LSC-University Park Art Department
The Department of Art at Lone Star College-University Park offers a range of beginning and intermediate art courses, including Art Appreciation, Art History, Design, Drawing and Painting.
Students can take art courses to be applied toward the AA in Fine Arts, to fulfill Creative Arts core requirements, as electives, or as Continuing Education. Courses are open to both majors and non-majors and are typically transferrable to four-year institutions.
Small classes ensure individual attention from diverse, highly qualified faculty members who are professionals in their fields.
Each semester, studio art students have the opportunity to display their artwork in juried or invitational art shows both on and off campus. Students also have the chance to be selected to have their work featured in LSC-University Park’s Uproar Magazine each year.
