Important: Upcoming Changes to F-1 Regulations
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has published new F-1 regulations that represent a significant shift from current policy, with an effective date of September 15, 2026.
All F-1 students are strongly encouraged to attend a student information session to learn what's changing and how it may affect your status. Contact your DSO for questions about the new regulations and the schedule of upcoming information sessions.

F-1 Student Deadlines - Spring 2026

| December 12, 2025 | Deadline to purchase required health insurance for Spring 2026. Enrolled students with no insurance will be dropped past this date. |
| January 6, 2026 | Mandatory virtual System-Wide F-1 Orientation. See Orientation Schedule. |
| January 8-9, 2026 | Mandatory New F-1 International Student Orientation (Campus Specific). See Orientation Schedule. |
| January 15, 2026 | Enrollment Deadline for F-1 Students |
| January 20, 2026 | First day of class and Deadline to submit the Semesterly check-in form. |
