Magazine submissions are accepted year round, and the magazine is released annually, in late spring. Submissions sent by December 15th are considered for the issue to be released in the spring semester immediately following the submission. Submissions received after December 15th are considered for the spring of the next academic year. Only original, unpublished works are accepted. Simultaneous submissions are acceptable. Please notify us at Inkling@lonestar.edu if your piece is accepted by another publisher.

Only LSC-Tomball students (enrolled in credit courses at the time of submission) are eligible to submit.

All work must be submitted electronically, through the Inkling Submission Form. Please submit your art work and potery work no later than Friday, January 29, 2021. Upload your file(s) to this form before you press SUBMIT.

Reproductions of artwork must be submitted as a jpg files, with a resolution of 300 dpi or greater. Students may take a digital photo of their drawing(s), painting(s), or photograph(s) and upload the resulting jpg file(s) to the submission form.

Maximum entries per person: six (6) writing submissions and six (6) art submissions

Writers and artists selected for publication will be notified by mail. Expect notification in March.

NOTE: Submissions selected for publication are automatically entered into the Lone Star College-Tomball Inkling Creative Arts Contest. Winners will be honored as follows: one student's artwork will be selected as the cover piece; first, second, and third places will be awarded to winners in prose, poetry, and art. Artworks can include drawings, paintings, collages, or photos.
