Dance Team

The Dance Team serves as entertainment for the college and the community. They compete at the National level, and also serve as Ambassadors for the school. Tryouts are held prior to the Fall and Spring Semesters.

9 a.m.- Register for tryouts in the Dance Studio located in the College Center Room 118. Bring a small picture of yourself for the application.

9:15 a.m.-12 p.m.- Learn tryout routine. You may wear any dancewear you prefer.

12-2 p.m.- Break for lunch and practice for tryouts.

2-4:30 p.m.- Tryouts. You will need to wear all black for tryouts. No cover ups allowed. You will tryout in groups of 4. Tryouts are closed to the public.

4:30 p.m.- The 2009-2010 LSC CyFair Dance Team will be announced.

4:30-4:45 p.m.- New Members team meeting.

Qualifications:
Poise, posture, projection, rhythm, flexibility, enthusiasm and a fit body are important qualifications. Applicants will also be judged on the following elements: toe touch, double turn, split leap. If you also have a switch leap, fouette turns, or 2nd position leaps we would like to see those as well, but not necessary.
