Sarah assumed the role of Dean of Academic Affairs in 2016. As the first person to serve in this role at Lone Star College-Montgomery, she has worked to establish the Academic Excellence (ACE) Division to provide student-focused services and support excellence in teaching.

With over 19 years of higher education experience, Sarah is committed to empowering students to achieve their goals. She began her career in higher education as a Reference and Instruction Librarian at The George Washington University (GWU) and worked at Rice University’s Fondren Library before joining Lone Star College-Montgomery as a Reference Librarian in 2012.

Sarah holds master’s degree in education from GWU, master’s degree in library and information science from the University of Illinois, and a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from GWU.
