How do I get college credit for career focused high school courses?

  • Eligibility Criteria
Verify that you meet all the criteria for Prior Learning Assessment
  • Processing

    1. Go to the campus of your choice to see an advisor. Bring your high school transcript: either have your transcript sent in advance to your LSC campus, or ask your high school registrar for an official copy in a sealed envelope for you to bring.
    2. Fill out the top section (personal information) on the PLA by High School Articulation application, and take it with you when you see an advisor. If the PEIMS number for your high school course is not on your transcript, the advisor will help you determine it. The advisor will fill out the check box section of the application form. If the applicatin is approved, a grade of credit (CR) will be posted to your college transcript. You will not receive a letter grade for this credit.
