Financial Aid - Paying for Courses that Count Toward Completing Your Degree
Financial aid will only be offered for courses that count toward your degree completion. If you are registered in courses outside of your program, your financial aid offers and the way your financial aid pays for your courses may be impacted. For more information on what you need to do to ensure that your financial aid pays for the courses that you are registered in, click here.
Financial Aid Virtual Office
Financial Aid Advisors are available to assist students with completing the financial aid process virtually!
You must access Webex online or use the Webex app in order to connect to the virtual office.
If your family's finances have changed since you filed your FAFSA, you can request to have your eligibility for financial aid reevaluated by submitting a Financial Aid Appeal Form. To learn more about the appeals process at LSC, please call 281.573.8818.
If requested, provide any additional documentation.
Review/accept financial aid award(s).
The FAFSA is available October 1 for the upcoming academic year, uses income information from two years prior to the academic year, and must be completed each year. We encourage students to apply by April 1 since State Aid has limited funds and is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
The FAFSA requires the student's household information. Married students will need their spouse's information, and students under 24 are generally required to submit the parent's information. Be sure to check your student email account to avoid delays, as email is the official means of communication with students.
