Vice President of Administrative Services

Kirk Bennett is an experienced higher education professional and the Vice President of Administrative Services at Lone Star College-Montgomery. With more than 18 years of experience in higher education, he spent 11 of those years teaching incarcerated adults in the Oregon state prison system. In that time, Kirk used his passion for teaching to help incarcerated adults create life-long legacies. Through the development and implementation of educational training programs, he oversaw the personal and professional development of everyone he taught and guided.

Before assuming the position of Vice President of Administrative Services, Kirk held several leadership roles at Lone Star College-Montgomery. In 2015, he was named Dean of Instruction of the BASS division, a position he fulfilled for six years. He continued to make a difference in students' lives and was appointed Dean of Instruction for the NaSH division soon after. As Dean of Instruction for the NaSH division, Kirk provided guidance to faculty and staff towards success in serving students' academic and professional goals.

Kirk's commitment to education and leadership is reflected in his academic qualifications. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Portland State University and a Master of Business Administration from George Fox University. Currently, he is completing his Doctorate in Business Administration with a focus on leadership and management from George Fox University.

Kirk Bennett's passion for education and leadership is not limited to his professional life but extends to his personal life as well. He is an avid golfer and an active participant in community initiatives. Through his dedication to education and leadership, he is committed to leaving a positive impact on the world and in every aspect of Lone Star College-Montgomery.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer at LSC-Montgomery.
  • Responsible for oversight of campus construction and facilities operations, business services, and auxiliary operations including: vending, food services, childcare and the campus bookstore.
