Transitional Mathematics Department
The Transitional Mathematics Department at LSC-CyFair is dedicated to helping students acquire the necessary mathematical skills needed to meet prerequisite requirements for degrees/certificates and to be successful in college level mathematics courses.The program consists of three courses:
- Math 0306: Pre-Algebra
- Math 0308: Introductory Algebra
- Math 0310: Intermediate Algebra
We offer a variety of enrolling options to meet the needs of students, such as fast track, second start, hybrid and online courses. The Transitional Math Department works in conjunction with the Math Success Center in LRNC 211 offering in-depth tutoring, coaching and teaching for LSC-CyFair students enrolled in transitional math classes (Math 0306, 0308, and 0310) and college algebra (Math 1314).
