The Advising Office is available to assist students with academic advising (course and major options), degree planning, registration and advising resources. Check out our Virtual Services in LiveChat (in your myLonestar student portal) and/or the Virtual Maverick Assistance Center.
LSC counselors are skilled professionals committed to assisting you in meeting your academic, career and personal goals. Counselors are available to meet with students by appointment to identify, discuss, and address concerns that may be interfering with their goals.

The Write Place
The writing tutoring services are located in The Write Place (G103). The Write Place services include free consultations in writing, ESOL support, reading, and public speaking to improve students writing, communication, and reading comprehension skills across the academic curriculum. The Write Place works by appointments and walk-ins on a first-come-first-serve basis.
The Transfer, Recruitment and Careers Center (TRAC) is here to connect with you and provide resources remotely to help reach your academic and career goals. We are continuing to offer assistance with transfer advising, career exploration, job search, resume writing, and mock interviews through personal teleconferences (Webex meetings). To schedule an appointment with the TRAC team, please contact us.
The TRIO Student Support Services program provides support services to low-income, first generation and/or students with disabilities enrolled at Lone Star College-Montgomery. Students in the TRIO program will receive personalized services including: academic advising, Financial Aid literacy information, career counseling, academic major exploration, transfer and admissions planning, mentoring opportunities, tutoring services, and cultural enrichment activities.
