Converged Technology Advanced Technical Certificate
- One year program
- Enter the workforce quickly
- Full program offered at LSC-University Park
- Computer Information Technology Department
The advanced technical certificate (ATC) in converged technology prepares students for working with the cloud, virtualization, backup systems, and storage management.
The shift of enterprise computing to the software defined data center has triggered a need for IT staff that can harness these emerging technologies. This program provides students experience with leading technology providers such as EMC, VMware and RedHat. Since this is an advanced certificate, students in this program should have some computing experience or certification such as CCNA, MCSA or Network+.
This ATC is for students who have already completed a degree in the computer information technology field and who seek additional training in advanced networking concepts, hardware, operating systems, virtualization and storage. Students should speak with the CIT department chair for more information and to determine eligibility.

The U.S. Department of Education requires colleges to disclose a variety of information for any financial aid eligible program that “prepares students for gainful employment in a recognized occupation."
Figuring out how to pay for college is one of the toughest parts of earning a degree but attending LSC is an affordable option for most students. Tuition rates are based on residency and you can get an estimate of your costs by using our LSC Tuition & Fees chart.
Average full-time tuition is $800 per semester.
Financial aid helps students and their families pay for college. There are several types of financial aid available to LSC students and financial aid packages may include more than one type of award.
