Welcome to the Pack! The Lone Star College-Tomball Timberwolf Pack! We are thrilled you have chosen LSC-Tomball to begin your college career at LSC-Tomball. By choosing to attend Wolf Pack Welcome, you are starting off on a path to success.
Wolf Pack Welcome Structure
Wolf Pack Welcome (WPW) is an extended orientation program that compliments your New Student Orientation (NSO), taking place right before fall classes start! Our goal is to provide new Timberwolves with a strong foundation through community connection and campus resources. WPW is hosted by current students, faculty, staff, and the Office of Student Engagement at LSC-Tomball. Wolf Pack Welcome is part of LSCT-ENGAGE, which includes welcome events and activities for students the week prior to classes beginning and the first two weeks of class.
Wolf Pack Welcome is a day long program designed to provide new and returning students with resources, services, and information to successfully transition to college life at LSC-Tomball.
Why Come to Wolf Pack Welcome?
Wolf Pack Welcome is led by LSC-Tomball students, staff, and faculty who are passionate about making your college experience a success! Every student leader has valuable personal experiences to share, and they will offer attendees advice about classes, professors, college life and managing commitments as you begin your journey as a Timberwolf! There is no "Wolf Pack Welcome type". Wolf Pack Welcome is all about accepting you into the Timberwolf family with open arms. Current students volunteer their time every year to help welcome LSC-Tomball’s incoming freshmen class. Wolf Pack Welcome leaders have been trained to provide the most welcoming and supportive experience for their fellow students.
Interested in Becoming a Wolf Pack Welcome Leader?
Becoming a Wolf Pack Welcome leader is a great way to get hands on leadership training! We are looking for engaging individuals to help create an extraordinary experience for the incoming students. Wolf Pack Leaders must be able to attend all four sessions of Wolf Pack Welcome.
Below are the required Wolf Pack Welcome training dates and times:
- Thursday, June 6, 2023 12pm-4pm
- Thursday, June 15, 2023 12pm-4pm

Interviews for Wolf Pack Welcome Leaders will be conducted the week of June 5th-June 9th.
What happens at Wolf Pack Welcome?
Wolf Pack Welcome is interactive, and we will dive into college traditions, academic support services, navigating college life, college culture, transferring and connecting with faculty, staff, and all other resources available to you. Students will also receive assistance with navigating through their college classes, campus buildings, and available resources offered by the campus. This year the LSC-Tomball's Wolf Pack Welcome will be one you don't want to miss. So, sign up on July 1st when registration opens!
Wolf Pack Welcome is a great way for students to meet fellow Timberwolves in a fun and supportive environment. Below are some activities attendees can expect to participate in while at Wolf Pack Welcome:
Ice Breaker Activities are designed with the intent for all attendees to meet through structured and unstructured programs, plus we want you to have fun while you’re at Wolf Pack Welcome. This year's activities are minute-to-win-it games!
Campus Resource sessions will include a variety of programs and partners who provide support services to our Timberwolf student community.
Parents and Families will also have a session available to them. We will provide information and strategies for supporting their college student.
Involvement Fair will allow attendees to connect with our student organizations and sports teams. Through extensive research, we know that students who are actively engaged on campus outside the classroom, are more successful and persist more than students who just go to class.
Lunch is provided for each participant and their guests, maximum two guest, during Wolf Pack Welcome.

Students, families, and guests we will be moving around and walking a lot during the Wolf Pack Welcome. The Office of Student Engagement encourages you to wear comfortable clothing and shoes and to arrive on-time to avoid any check in process delays. Check-in start at 8:30a.m. and the program will begin promptly at 9:00a.m.

How do I sign up?
Registration opens on April 6th, 2023 at 12:00 a.m. You are encouraged to sign-up early to reserve your spot! We are so excited to have you here, and we are eager to show you all that LSC-Tomball has to offer! **Guest(s) are welcome to attend (maximum of two guests). Please keep in mind that guest(s) must be at least 16 years or older to attend the LSC-Tomball Wolf Pack Welcome. **
There are three different session days that you may choose from depending on what works best for your schedule!
- Session #1 will be hosted on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 and registration for this session closes on Thursday, June 15, 2023
- Session #2 will be hosted on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 and registration for this session closes on Thursday, July 13, 2023
- Session #3 will be hosted on Friday, August 25, 2023 and registration for this session closes on Friday, August 18, 2023

A message from the Director of Student Engagement
Welcome to Lone Star College-Tomball! As the Director of Student Engagement, I want to impress upon you, as you begin your college career at LSC-Tomball, the importance of being involved on campus. Getting involved is easy; join a student organization, participate in the many free activities, seminars or programs offered on and off campus, join a sports team or participate in a recreational sports activity. The important thing to remember is – get involved, connect with people, and have fun. You may also learn something along the way.
Wolf Pack Welcome is part of LSCT-ENGAGE! LSCT-ENGAGE begins Monday, August 21st and runs through Wednesday, September 6th. The first week of LSCT-ENGAGE is Premier Week. This week will include lots of fun activities to get you excited to be on campus! The second week of LSCT-ENGAGE is Howl Week and includes activities students can take part in before, in-between and after classes the first week of class. The third week of LSCT-ENGAGE is all about involvement and fittingly called Involvement Week. Our student organizations will be recruiting new members during Involvement Fair on Tuesday and Wednesday and our sports teams will also be recruiting players for the fall teams. Watch of the schedule in your student email and on our social media.
With more than 25 student organizations and sports teams currently active in events, programs, and competitions at the district, state, regional, and national levels, there is something for everyone. Watch for posters around campus, emails from the Center for Student Engagement and posts on our Instagram page @lsctengage or our Facebook page @TomballEngage for details on all our events on campus.
The Student Activities Board (SAB) is a volunteer group of students working directly out of the Office of Student Engagement. This group of students host free weekly programs and events for their fellow students. If you are interested in joining SAB come by office of Student Engagement to pick up an application or watch for the application in our Weekly Newsletter. SAB has some terrific programs and events planned for fall and spring. Apply for SAB Today!
