LSC-University Park Scholarships

Each spring the Lone Star College Foundation announces a variety of endowment and special scholarships made possible by the generous support of many individuals, families, estates, businesses, corporations, and/or foundations. 

The list below is just a sample of the many scholarships available.  For more information and specific criteria on available scholarships, please check the current Lone Star College System catalog or your financial aid office.

 Scholarship  Description
David and Jean Wiley Foundation Minimum 2.5 GPA, must be a U.S. Citizen, and funds to be used for tuition, fees and books.
2012 Follett Scholarship Must demonstrate financial need. These funds can be for  multiple students.
$500 Golf Scholarships These are $500 scholarships with open criteria.
Dr. Joe Airola Endowment Minimum part-time student and minimum 2.5 GPA.
Jack and Lynn Fields Preference for a single mother.
Future Pipe Industries, Inc. Endowment Minimum full-time student and minimum 3.0 GPA.
Wells Fargo Endowment Must demonstrate financial need.
Canyon Gate Endowment Minimum 2.0 GPA and resident of Canyon Gate or Canyon Lakes Village communities.
Patricia Harless Endowment Must demonstrate financial need and funds to be used for all education related expenses including childcare.
Anonymous Endowment Must attend LSC-University Park, minimum part-time student, minimum 2.5 GPA.
Bob and Darcy Mingoia Endowment Must attend LSC-University Park, minimum 2.5 GPA, must demonstrate financial need. Funds to be used for tuition, fees and books.
Caldwell Companies Endowment in Honor of Dr. Richard Carpenter Must attend LSC-University Park, minimum part-time student. Funds to be used for tuition, fees and books.
Corrpro Corrosion Protection Scholarship Endowment Must attend LSC-University Park.
Darlene Veltri Memorial Scholarship Endowment Should attend LSC- University Park (preferred campus), minimum part-time student, must demonstrate financial need. Nontraditional student who is female and committed to pursuing a four-year degree and career in education. Funds to be used for tuition, fees and books.
LSC-University Park Faculty Endowment Must attend LSC-University Park and minimum part-time student.
LSC-University Park President's Endowment Must attend LSC-University Park, minimum part-time student, minimum 2.5 GPA, must demonstrate financial need.
LSC-UP OTS Family and Friends Scholarship Endowment Must attend LSC-University Park, minimum part-time student, minimum 3.0 GPA. Preference is given to a child of a current OTS employee. Past recipients are not eligible for a second award. If no child of an OTS employee is eligible, academic discipline is Technology.
Mary Anne Grasso Foundation Endowment Must attend LSC-University Park, academic disciplines are Education and Teaching, must demonstrate financial need. Funds to be used for tuition, fees and books.
Noble Energy, Inc. Endowment Must attend LSC-University Park, minimum 2.5 GPA, must be committed to pursuing an associate degree, must demonstrate financial need. Funds to be used for tuition, fees and books.
Precision Task Group Endowment Must attend LSC-University Park and must demonstrate financial need.
The Feldman Family Endowment Must attend LSC-University Park, minimum full-time student, must be a student who graduated from one of the LSC in-district high schools, must demonstrate financial need.
The Feldman Family Endowment in Memory of Fred Feldman Must attend LSC-University Park, minimum full-time student, must be a student who graduated from one of the LSC in-district high schools, must demonstrate financial need.
The Foreman Family Endowment Must attend LSC-University Park and minimum 3.0 GPA.
The Student Success Scholarship Endowment funded by Tellepsen, OC+A, Morris, JE Dunn and HOK Must attend LSC-University Park, academic disciplines are Engineering Technology, must demonstrate financial need. Funds to be used for tuition, fees and books.
William J. and Olive H. Upton Endowment Must attend Police Academy at LSC-UP and have completed the first of the four sections of curriculum with a minimum 2.0 GPA. Student achievement and classroom attitude, as well as need for financial assistance, will be part of the selection process that involves the Academy Coordinator and other Police Academy personnel.
Women’s Business Forum Must attend LSC-University Park, academic discipline is Business, female student only, must demonstrate financial need. Funds to be used for all educational expenses.
LSC Essay Contest Awarded to Essay Contest winner.
LSC Foundation Golf Scholarship Minimum part-time student and minimum 2.0 GPA.
LSC Foundation Gala Scholarship Minimum part-time student and minimum 2.0 GPA.
Follett Scholarship Minimum part-time student, minimum 2.0 GPA and must demonstrate financial need.
