LSC-Tomball Scholarships

Here is a list of institutional scholarship opportunities available to many Lone Star College-Tomball students. Please take a moment to review the list and decide if you are qualified and want to apply. It is your responsibility to meet all deadlines and submit all required paperwork to the designated addresses as per scholarship.

External Scholarships

Scholarships are also available from sources outside Lone Star College System. Application, criteria and funding depend upon the agency issuing the scholarship.

Bill Lawler Memorial Endowment     Must attend LCS-Tomball and academic discipline is Business
Bill Stafford Memorial Endowment 3.0+ Enrolled in 12+ hours Must attend LCS-Tomball, minimum full-time student, academic disciplines are Social Work, Counseling or Teaching, and funds to be used for tuition, fees and books
Bob and Darcy Mingonia Endowment 2.5+   Must attend LCS-Tomball, must demonstrate financial need, and funds to be used for tuition, fees and books
Candace Grace Howard Memorial Endowment 3.0+ Enrolled in 12+ hours Must attend LCS-Tomball, enrolled in the Veterinary Technology program, first year student, must be a U.S citizen, and LCS-Tomball Director of Veterinary Technology must review applications and participate in selection process
Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Endowment       Must attend LCS-Tomball, enrolled in the Veterinary Technology Program, must reside in Texas, must be a US citizen and LCS-Tomball Director of Veterinary Technology must review applications and participate in selection process
Hulon and Marian Modeley Endowment 3.0+ Enrolled in 12+ hours Must attend LCS-Tomball, academic disciplines are Earth and Life Sciences, must have completed at least 30 college levels credits, and in the event that no selection can be made from among students at LCS-Tomball, a student from LCS-North Harris meeting all the criteria can be given the scholarship
Ken and Melba Graham Nursing Endowment in Honor of Kathleen Graham Semmler   Enrolled in 12+ hours Must attend LCS-Tomball, and enrolled in the Nursing Program
LCS-Tomball Mathematics Excellence Endowment 3.0+   Must attend LSC-Tomball, academic disciplines are Mathematics, Education, Engineering, and funds to be used for tuition, fees and books.
LCS-Tomball Mathematics Faculty Endowment 3.0+ Enrolled in 6+ hours Must attend LCS-Tomball, academic discipline is Mathematics Education, and funds to be used for all education related expenses including calculator and/or software
LCS-Tomball Endowment 2.5+ Enrolled in 6+ hours Must attend LCS-Tomball
Mary Wilkinson Roach Scholarship Endowment   Enrolled in 12+ hours May attend any college within the system, must be a Tomball High School Student, may be used for tuition, fees and books. Tomball High School will identify 5 students who have overcome physical, family, social learning, or other disabilities. Contact Guidance office at 281-357-3220
Mathematics Department at LCS-Tomball Endowment 2.8+ Enrolled in 6+ hours Must attend LCS-Tomball, enrolled in math courses- may be at developmental level, and funds to be used for tuition, fees, books, calculator and software
Nitin Bezbaruah Sarangapani Endowment 2.5+ Enrolled in 6+ hours Must attend LSC-Tomball, former veteran of armed forces including reserves, academic disciplines are Math, Computer Services or Biology, must demonstrate financial need and funds to be used for all education related expenses
Performing Fine Arts Scholarship Endowment 3.0+ Enrolled in 12+ hours Must attend LCS-Tomball, academic disciplines are Drama and Music, must have been in at least one of LCS-Tomball's drama or musical performances in the prior academic year, and funds to be used for tuition, fees and books
Ryan and Paul Whitaker Memorial Nursing Endowment 2.5+   Must attend LCS-Tomball, academic discipline is Nursing, student must be at least 25 years of age, and funds to be used for all education related expenses
The Elmer Lee Beckendorf Memorial Nursing Endowment 3.0+ See Description Must attend LCS-Tomball, minimum Full-time student as defined by Nursing Director, minimum nine(9) credit hours, academic discipline is Nursing, $5,000 awarded over a 2-year period, as part of application process, candidates must write an essay detailing their interest in Nursing must review applications and participate in selection process and funds to be used for all education related expenses
The Marion D. Handson Nursing Scholarship Endowment Fund 3.0+ Enrolled in 12+ hours Must attend LCS- Tomball, enrolled in the ADN program, $5,000 awarded over a 2 year period, as part of application process, candidates must write an essay detailing their interest in nursing and the LSC-Tomball Director of Nursing must review applications and participate in selection process, and funds to be used for all education related expenses  
The Robert E. Handson Veterinary Technology Endowed Scholarship 3.0+ Enrolled in 12+ hours Must attend LSC-Tomball, must be a second-year Veterinary Technology student, LCS-Tomball Director of Veterinary Technology must review applications and participate in selection process, and funds to be used for all education related expenses. This is a $4,000 scholarship
Tomball Regional Arts Council Endowment 2.0+ Enrolled in 12+ hours Must attend LCS-Tomball or LCS-CyFair, academic discipline is the Arts, students must be 21 years of age or older who is starting or returning to college, must demonstrate financial need, and funds to be used for tuition, fees and books
Tomball Rotary Club Endowment 2.5+ Enrolled in 6+ hours Must attend LCS-Tomball
Wells Fargo Endowment     Must demonstrate financial need
