Tuition & Fees

Attending LSC is an affordable option for most students. Our tuition rates are based on residency and if you need help footing the bill, financial aid is available to most students. And so are payment plans!

How To Apply For Financial Aid

You must complete LSCS's three step process in order to receive financial aid.

  1. Submit a FAFSA.
  2. Review the LSCS Financial Aid Terms & Conditions
  3. Complete additional forms (including disbursement method).

These steps must be completed each academic year that you wish to receive financial aid. Keep in mind that the priority deadline is April 1, so submit all documentation as quickly as possible to allow time for processing. If you miss the priority deadline, don't worry! You can still apply throughout the year because funds are typically available year round.

Types of Financial Aid

There are several types of financial aid available to LSCS students:

Financial Aid Forms

Many forms are available for the financial aid process. LSCS provides forms for the 2011-2012 academic calendar year. Complete forms carefully and submit them to the financial aid office at your campus.

Aid Disbursements & Refunds

There are strict guidelines for receiving disbursements and refunds. Student financial aid accounts may be accessed via myLoneStar.

Financial Aid Requirements

All students must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements to receive financial aid at LSCS. Federal regulations require all financial aid recipients to maintain SAP in a course of study leading toward a college degree, certificate, or educational objective.

Students will be denied financial aid for failure to meet SAP requirements.

Return of Title IV Aid

If this is not your first enrollment period at Lone Star College System and you received Title IV financial aid, LSCS has a procedure for calculating course withdrawal refunds.

Tax Information

Who says you can't get a break these days? The break you're looking for might be available in the form of a tax credit to help you pay for college.
