The Multimedia Services department provides innovative assistance to administrators, faculty, staff and students with a staff of specialists wishing to enhance the dynamic nature of their instructional media content such as audio, video, virtual reality and digital media. Multimedia Services will also create an environment for the faculty of LSC-Tomball that is conducive to learning new technology and innovative techniques to use in the classroom.
The Multimedia Services department has at the center of its focus providing students and faculty with access to state-of-the-art technology to supplement the learning process at LSC-Tomball. Because academic support is our primary concern, this will always be a standing goal of Multimedia Services.
We are currently housed in two studio locations, E-254 (in the East Building) and E-214 (in the East Hall) located in the faculty suite. You can use our On-Location Filming Request Form to request on-location filming and/or audio recording. If you need to schedule time in one of our studios, please reserve an appointment using our Studio Scheduler (appointment required) prior to arrival for in-person services. Our Multimedia Services team is committed to satisfying digital media communications for our faculty, staff, students, and administrators. Our mission is to provide support and assistance in all aspects of multimedia, video production and editing, audio production services, as well as media distribution services that include streaming media, video, and interactivity.

Monte Darland serves as the Manager of Multimedia Services. This department is one of several departments that is part of the Division of Strategy and Innovation. Monte manages a staff of technical production specialists that contribute, assist and produce multimedia content for video production used in broadcast, web, and social media. He oversees and coordinates video production, script writing, post-production, and publishing. Monte has extensive knowledge and 37 years of experience in the field of multimedia and received his masterís degree in Digital Media Production from Sam Houston State University in the Spring of 2018.
