How to Find My Advisor
We want to make it easy for you to connect with the right advisor. Follow the steps below based on where you are in your journey.
Before your first semester, you’ll meet with an advisor during New Student Orientation. Learn more about Montgomery Orientation.

If you’re taking EDUC 1300 (First-Year Experience), you’ll receive guidance from an advisor to outline your degree plan and classes.
You must request an official transcript to be sent to Lone Star College.
Meet with an advisor during drop-in hours and bring a copy of all transcripts from previous colleges. An advisor can assist you with next level courses.

- Go to your Student Homepage
- Click the Advisor Tile
- If you have an assigned advisor, their name & contact info will display
- You can email them directly from your My Lone Star email
- Or schedule an appointment by clicking the Advisor Tile.
TIP: If your schedule doesn’t work with your advisor appointment availability, email them—many can make accommodations.
