New Student Orientation is an overview of Lone Star College, important policies and procedures, as well as resources to help students succeed. Orientation includes information about student services, academic life, academic advising and assistance with course registration. First Time in College students at LSC are required to complete orientation. All other students can choose to participate if they wish.
During Orientation Students Will
Meet other new students, current LSC student leaders, faculty and/or staff
Learn to navigate campus
Find out about programs of study and campus resources
Register for the upcoming semester based on academic advisor recommendations
Get individual questions answered
Sign-Up for New Student Orientation
Students will have access to select an orientation session once they are eligible to complete step 6 (Complete New Student Orientation) of the new student checklist items outlined on the admissions website. The checklist items are designed to be completed in the order they are presented. To attend orientation, students must sign-up through the Applicant Tile in myLoneStar.edu. Space is limited for each session, so students should sign-up as early as possible to ensure they get the best time, date, and location for their schedule.
