lifePATH® at LSC-Tomball Admissions Process and Application

Application Details

How to Apply

  1. RSVP and attend an lifePATH® Information Session
  2. Complete and submit materials 
    1. lifePATH® Admissions Application
    2. Educational Evaluation: Full-Scale IQ, Reading, Writing, and Math Grade Equivalency
    3. High School or College Transcript
    4. Texas Success Initiative (TSI) Results (The Lone Star College Online Application must be complete to take the TSI. Student Online Application)
    5. Reference Letter 1 (using template contained in the lifePATH® Admissions Application)
    6. Reference Letter 2 (using template contained in the lifePATH® Admissions Application)

Print out, sign, and return application and all documents.

Applications and submitted documentation are reviewed for prerequisite skills match:

  • Full Scale IQ: 70 or above
  • Reading Comprehension Grade Level Equivalency: 4th Grade
  • Writing Grade Level Equivalency: 3rd Grade
  • Math Grade Level Equivalency: 3rd Grade

Applicants who meet or exceed the prerequisite skill criteria will be invited to one of two Admissions Interview dates

Admissions Interview Dates: July 30

lifePATH Students are selected from the Admissions Interview

Phase 1: Pre-Requisite Skills Match – Potential student attends information session, application is submitted in its entirety, application is reviewed, committee verifies that student met pre-requisite skills, invitation to interview if met. Phase 2: Cohort Match – During interview potential students meet as a group, group interaction is observed, student’s ability to follow instruction, demonstrate adherence to the student code of conduct, desire to make personal change, and motivation to be part of lifePATH® is noted. Phase 3: Individual Student Activities – During interview, potential students demonstrate academic skills, student meets individually with members of the Admissions Committee. Phase 4: Holistic Review – Admissions Committee completes a thorough review of the full student application, student’s contributions to Phase 2 & Phase 3, and consideration of full cohort dynamics.
