Tutoring

Our commitment is to assist you in achieving academic success, through persistence and retention, by promoting understanding of course concepts, reinforcing essential study skills and habits, and encouraging independent learning to help you reach their educational goals to succeed in a rapidly changing world.

All students enrolled in courses with LSCS can use the tutoring center that works best, regardless of location including students enrolled in online courses. Tutoring is covered for all students through the enrollment fee so no payment is required to use these services.

Our Tutors

Our tutors are adjunct instructors, retired professionals, former students and current students. LSCS tutors also are encouraged to be certified by the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA). This certification allows tutors to receive recognition and positive reinforcement from a national organization, and it specifies minimum standards and training necessary for successful tutoring.
