Financial Aid Tips!
Make sure you fill out the correct FAFSA!
Some students fill out the FAFSA, but its for the next year. Ex: The FAFSA states the year on which application students are applying for, 2021-2022 FAFSA application or 2022-2023 FAFSA application.Financial AidPayment Plans
Don't forget to add your Social Security number to your FAFSA!
A social doesn’t mean a work permit: A work authorization SSN does not qualify the student to be eligible to apply for FAFSA. Students with work authorization only SSN are eligible to apply for TASFA.
Students who are eligible to apply for FAFSA are, U.S. Citizen or national; a citizen of the Freely Associated States: the Federated States of Micronesia and the Republics of Palau and the Marshall Islands and a U.S. permanent resident or other eligible noncitizens.
Want to make sure you are filling out the current form? Students can verify this by calling the Federal Student Aid Information Center at 1-800-433-3243, or refer to their FAFSA confirmation email received by the U.S. Department of Education.
We highly encourage you to take full advantage of scholarship opportunities available to you! Once you have completed your registration you can email Fredrick.N.Antwine@LoneStar.edu with your student ID number in order for him to determine your eligibility.
