Workforce Programs

HVAC  also known as heating, ventilation, and air conditioning is the technology of temperature and air quality control. Its goal is to provide thermal comfort and acceptable indoor air quality to residential and commercial spaces. Employment for HVAC Technicians is projected to grow 21 percent from 2012 to 2022, faster than the average for all occupations.

  • Shield Metal Arch Welding (SMAW)
  • Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) 

These certificates prepare students for entry level employment as a structural welder.

Machining Technology is designed to prepare students for a career in manufacturing industries. We offer the Computer Numeric Control Operator/Programmer I Certificate. This is also known as CNC I. Machinists work in machine shops, tool rooms, and factories. Most technicians work full time during regular business hours however, overtime is somewhat common. Job opportunities for machinists is on the rise as employers continue to value the wide-ranging skills of these workers.

Academic Transfer

Associate of Arts (AA)

The Associate of Arts degree prepares the student to transfer to a Texas public university or college as a junior with a major in liberal or fine arts. Examples of majors in this degree: Business, Liberal Arts, History, Speech, Music, Education, Criminal Justice, etc.

Associates of Science (AS)

The Associates of Science prepares the student to transfer to a Texas public university or college with a major in science. Examples of majors in this degree: Math, Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Social/Behavioral Science, and others.
