LSC-Houston North Volleyball Standout Mariana Aristizabal Nunez Signs with Justice University
Lone Star College-Houston North student-athlete Mariana Aristizabal Nunez has signed with Justice University to continue her volleyball career. A founding member of the Lady Panther volleyball program, she helped lead the team to a conference championship in its inaugural season, leaving a lasting impact on the program.
Formerly incarcerated men find hope for a better tomorrow at Lone Star College System
About 30 formerly incarcerated men started learning basic computer skills at Lone Star College System this March and are working toward earning a Microsoft Excel Associate Certification by the end of the summer.

Lone Star College System has reached a new high for spring semester enrollment with 97,221 students in spring 2026, a 6.4% increase from spring 2025.
Lone Star College-Houston North to Host “Juneteenth” Exhibition by Humanities Texas
This exhibition examines the history and enduring significance of Juneteenth, marking June 19, 1865, when enslaved Black Americans in Texas learned of their freedom under the Emancipation Proclamation. Developed by Humanities Texas, the ten-panel display explores emancipation, delayed freedom, and the ongoing pursuit of equality from 1865 to the present.
Start 2026 with flexible class options at Lone Star College System
Next Start classes run from eight to 14 weeks, with start dates happening in January, February, March and April for the spring 2026 semester.
Essay contest winners inspire at Lone Star College Foundation’s annual luncheon
Sixteen students were selected as winners of the annual Chancellor’s Essay Contest and earned a $1,000 scholarship to help cover tuition, books and fees as they continue their journeys at Lone Star College System.

Dr. Quentin Wright is the Founding President of Lone Star College-Houston North. Prior to this position, he served as the Special Assistant to the Chancellor, Interim Vice Chancellor of Academic Success, Interim Vice Chancellor of Student Success, Vice President of Instruction at Lone Star College-Tomball and in the roles as Interim Vice President of Instruction, Academic Dean, and Speech Instructor at Mountain View College.
