  • Lone Star College-North Harris was recently awarded a $120,000 grant by the Texas Workforce Commission for the Career Pathways Project. With this project, Lone Star College (LSC), through the Lone Star College-North Harris campus, will provide free workforce, dual credit courses in Welding and Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC-R) from now until the end of the year to students in Aldine ISD.

  • Linda Good, Chair of the LSC Board of Trustees and Directing Attorney for Pro Bono & Disaster Response Units with Lone Star Legal Aid in Houston is offering a free legal services presentation and on-site assistance to flood disaster victims. This presentation is also open to the public.

  • Please let us know if you have been been impacted by the recent flooding and are need of assistance by completing the Relief Aid Request Form. You will be contacted by a LSC-North Harris representative within 24 – 48 hours.

  • The American Red Cross has opened shelters to aid those impacted by severe rain and flooding throughout the Greater Houston area. These shelters will be open 24 hours a day, providing a warm, dry place to stay, food and emotional support for area residents who are not able to remain at their homes due to storms and flooding.

  • Tomorrow, Friday, April 22, the Houston Food Bank’s Disaster Relief Truck will deliver disaster relief boxes of shelf-stable items and water to our students and employees affected by the flooding. The boxes will be distributed on a first-come-first served basis, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., in Lot K - Visitor’s Parking Area in front of the Student Services Building.

  • To Make A Donation to the Lone Star College-North Harris Relief Project, please complete the  Relief Aid Donation Form.  Phi Theta Kappa students will contact you to arrange acceptance of your donated items.

  • CHI Lone Star College-North Harris School of Cosmetology has planned a series of open houses at its facility, located at 910 E. Richey Road in Houston. Designed to introduce prospective students to the school’s offerings, the next open house will take place on Monday, May 2 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

  • The Lone Star College-North Harris Steel Band will be performing in concert with international recording artist, Tom Miller, Thursday, April 7, at 7:30 p.m. in the college’s Performing Arts Theater (ARTS-115). The community is invited to attend this free event.
