Sixteen students were selected as winners of the annual Chancellor’s Essay Contest and earned a $1,000 scholarship to help cover tuition, books and fees as they continue their journeys at Lone Star College System.

Designed with flexibility in mind, these shorter-term courses allow students to align their education with their personal schedules while continuing progress toward their academic and career goals.

Next Start classes run from eight to 14 weeks, with start dates happening in January, February, March and April for the spring 2026 semester.
